Full size nissan pathfinder8/18/2023 You get some sun shades which are a nice inclusion, as well as the copious amounts of cupholders, you are looking at 6 cupholders just in the 2nd row. This means that 2nd-row passengers will enjoy the comfort and space of a front-row seat, so how is it back there? The good news is that the quality up front continues, with soft leather seats and soft-touch materials everywhere. Unique to the Pathfinder TI-L this year, is the inclusion of 2nd row Captains seats. What about the Back seats of the 2023 Nissan Pathfinder TI-L? Clearly, Nissan has benchmarked their drink accessibility from the Hyundai Palisade which shares this fun little stat. In terms of cup storage, the Nissan Pathfinder is simply class-leading with a total of 16 cupholders throughout the interior. Storage is plentiful with a massive glovebox, ample centre armrest, and large door bins and the downsizing of the transmission tunnel means you get heaps of extra storage beneath the centre console. The soft two-tone leather is also very premium and we get both heating and cooling on both front seats.Ĭonnectivity is excellent with a USB-A and USB-C port, a 12V socket and a wireless charger. Speaking of which, the semi-autonomous driving in the Pathfinder is excellent, and with Lane Centering it will practically drive itself on a highway, more on that in the Safety section.Ī stand out for us are the seats, both front seats are full 10-way power adjustable with lumbar support and memory function. The steering wheel is a beautiful leather-wrapped unit with buttons to control your media as well as your Nissan Pro Pilot Assist controls. Materials, on the other hand, are primarily positive, with soft leatherette around the cabin, and some nice aluminium touches that help brighten up an otherwise pretty black interior. We are happy to report that it works pretty well with wireless Apple Carplay and wired Android Auto, but the large piano black bezels definitely cheapen the look of it significantly. The TOP SPEC Pathfinder (TI-L) only gets the BASE model infotainment from the Nissan X-Trail. Technology in the cabin is brand new for the Pathfinder, with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster that has some customisation as well as plenty of menus to choose from to show all the information your heart could desire, as well as a 10.8-inch heads-up display. It is now pretty safe to say that the Nissan Pathfinder is a luxurious family SUV with this latest update. It probably helps that Nissan is now a part of that Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance so the inspiration is clear. If you covered up the Nissan badge and told someone to guess what brand of car they are sitting in just based on interior quality, they would probably say some European brand. What’s the interior and connectivity like of the 2023 Nissan Pathfinder TI-L? Overall, the upgrades Nissan has made to the exterior of this car have gone a long way to improving its looks and bringing it more in line with the competition at this price point, though we are a little torn on whether it looks better than a Hyundai Palisade. Especially because Nissan doesn’t make you choose between the two-tone roof and a panoramic sunroof (looking at you Kia), in the Pathfinder TI-L you get both.Ĭoming to the back the first thing that will strike you is the enormous spaced-out font they’ve used to spell out “Pathfinder”, I would have loved to have seen the cost for that massive badging go towards some LED indicators. On the side, you’ll notice probably the darkest factory-tinted windows in existence for the rear occupants, which bleed nicely into the two-tone roof which is absolutely worth the extra $1400. We love the newly redesigned Nissan logo at the front and rear, and the TI-L trim comes with some snazzy-looking 20-inch alloys that are wrapped in some thick rubber which aims to improve ride quality, we’ll come back to that. That being said, a 170mm ground clearance will mean you should probably stick to gravel roads at worst. Chrome highlights adorn the front and side skirts, though Nissan hasn’t skipped a beat by including plastic skid plates to remind you that the Pathfinder is a “4WD”. The latest update is no different in this respect, but it has had a pretty significant upgrade in terms of exterior styling.įirst up we get some bright new LED headlights, though unfortunately, the presence of halogen turning signals on both the front and rear lights cheapens the overall look a bit. The Pathfinder has always had a very “American SUV” look to it, both in terms of its sheer size and its boxy exterior. What do we think of the exterior looks of the 2023 Nissan Pathfinder TI-L?
